Hi Honey, I'm home...

So I get in from a (insert expletive) day in the office. Before I can even say Hello to the wife and child, the Lass has a fit. Not just your run of the mill ones, but a full on, earth shattering, convulsive fit. Ten minutes of "Is Mummy still in there" (says the Boy), shaking, dribbling and on two occasions she stopped breathing. For quite a while. When this happens (once or twice a fortnight), she goes grey and pallid. Not exactly her colour.

Then she lapses, as usual, into a deep sleep. She says she's scared to go to sleep in case she doesn't wake up. I hate to be picky, but I'm not exactly happy at that prospect either.

Still, in my search for REO Speedwagon's "I can't fight this feeling any more" (it was on Radio 2 today and keeps going round in my head), I've found a few 1980s songs to cheer myself up including a cover of a Eurythmics song that I'd gone off but am now back in sync with. Plenty more "power ballads" to go - I'm such an 80s kid.
