Boats

www.millboats.com is a Dutch company (formerly International Metal Yachts). The Mariani 65 is a 20 metre (65 foot) metal yacht. Now I may not have a massive amount of technical knowledge, but I wouldn't mind building me one of those, kitting it out, sticking it on the open water with a big long anchor chain and diving the world.

The plans are €4,400. So I only need to scrape another €4,390 and I'm there. Oh and the €10,000 in additional, over budget costs that always crop up on a project. No doubt I need to contingency another €30,000 at least as well.

Another 30 years and I can retire or 50 years and I can afford it. Either way, I'll not be diving at that age. I'll be lucky to be diving in 4 years time at this rate. But most 26 years olds say that. :-)
