Just finished a 2 day course on E12 in Kensington on the Ignite tour. Wow. It may only be early days but there's some REALLY cool features.
Here are the ones I can blog about:
Managed by Monad. Call it what you will, this is a command line interface for playing with Exchange. Boy is it powerful.
64 bit architecture. Contentious issue for some but the advantages are massive. Bigger mailboxes, lower costs, improved scalability.
Unified messaging. Voicemail, faxes, email all in your inbox. But also in your OWA, delivered to your mobile phone and (wow) you can phone your Exchange server.
Why was it good?
Not only was it the first place in the country to get the training, it is always good to catch up with friends. Mr Mark Arnold (all hail) and I sat there and enjoyed Brett, Ewan and of course the lovely Eileen (amongst others) showing the product's potential.
Other items are covered by NDA. The technical parts are covered under the Microsoft NDA. I have a stunning photo of Mark with a really odd expression. I know who was talking at the time and what they were saying but it wasn't the comment that will haunt me for some time which came from right field. I may never fully heal.
