"But its raining. Raining in my car"
Yet another blog entry about the midlife crisis car. Second calliper reassembled correctly, pistons correctly done (eventually), parts carried up the road from the workshop to the driveway, tools brought out, "brother" Andy persuaded to accompany me.
First side went on with a bit of persuasion just as the rain started. Second side went on in the rain. Brakes bled in the rain, car door open and dribbles running onto the seat. Brakes need a final bleed all round as there is too much sponginess to warrant a run (a walk would be possible but you simply can't do that with a Matra).
i.e. next weekend I need the better part of an hour to fully bleed the system so she's not going to Cambridge tomorrow. Peasant transport here we come. Apparently there are communal cars that run on rails that go up as far north as Cambridge. Called trains. Mind you, it means I can have a couple of swift ales before departing :-)
Happy Mother's Day and don't forget the clocks went forward this morning in civilisation.
