Things take a turn for the sinister

Arriving in the internal post this morning, another new internal envelope with my name written neatly in capitals but spelled incorrectly. Six pages of A4, each showing more and more graphic scenes.

Page 1 - a picture of a bounty and a mars, tied up and obviously suffering with the caption "£50 in Marks and Spencers vouchers..."
Page 2 - a Milky Way tied to a chair and blindfolded "Or else it will get worse for the Celebrations..."
Page 3 - a Galaxy Truffle hanging from a noose "It could get really nasty..."
Page 4 - a Galaxy tied to a pole "If you don't pay up..."
Page 5 - 5 naked Celebrations, huddled disconsolately in a corner "You thought the others had been eaten...They should be so lucky!"
Page 6 - the 5 naked Celebrations in the background looking on in horror as one Celebration is killed mercilessly with a hammer "We just sent you back their clothes!!!!!!!"

They clearly mean business. I have responded with an email to all staff stating that I will pay the ransom. I shall await their next missive.

Message ends.

Now they are taunting me

An internal envelope arrives this morning - brand new and with my name in block capitals. Inside are about 20 Celebrations wrappers.

Are they taunting me? It is now a month since I last saw the tin and I'm getting really quite interested in having a choccie with my morning tea.

The mystery deepens

With the department back to a full compliment, an enquiry about the missing Celebrations shows blank looks on faces (rhetorical) all round.

Gareth is now admitting to "half a dozen or so". Tom has only had one or two, Michael was in Australia and Matt was on holiday.

One box of Celebrations and I still haven't had any.

A Present this way gone

Arriving this morning, I find no Celebrations to have with my morning tea. My only Christmas present so far and I didn't even get to sample.

I shall investigate.

A Present This Way Comes

From my friends Emily and Nick in our Crewe office, a (rather dented) big tin box of Celebrations.

Being tremendously moreish, I put them on the opposite side of the office. Gareth had a couple and Tom had one. I didn't have any - one Celebration is never enough.

Forget Green and Blacks

Dateline: Saturday 2nd December
Placeline: Cadbury World, Cadburys Chocolate Factory, Bournville, Birmingham
Waistline: Expanding
Mouthline: Covered in chocolate

Yes folks, I emulated Augustus Gloop (from Willy Wonka) and attempted to eat Cadburys out of chocolate. Given that they make over 1 million bars of choccie a day, I lost that one.

Given that is was fairly busy on a cold, blustery and rainy Saturday in December, it must be huge in the Summer.

I *MAY* have partaken of a morsel from the shop on the way out...
