Blackberry and Exchange 2007

Yes folks I'm back on *that* bandwagon again though this time from the driver's seat instead of scraping my hiney on the gravel underneath.

Here's the resolution that worked for me:
Blackberry Enterprise Server version 4.1.4. Install service pack 4 again.
Exchange Server 2007 Client Access Server. Reinstall rollup 4 again.
Exchange Server 2007 Mailbox Server. Reinstall rollup 4 again.

Then a full restart of both CAS and MBX and we were in business again.

Blackberry 4.1.3 and Exchange 2003 - works fine, no problem. But move the punter to Exchange 2007 and everything stops. No emails, no LDAP lookups to the GAL, nothing.
There is a 4.1.4 version of Blackberry available for download but it would be faster to get it on disk as it took me about 5.5 hours to download as it runs at about 12kb/s!!

After applying the 4.1.4 update, restart the BES and follow the instructions and you are sort of complaint to Exchange 2007 however I was not.

After checking several things I cured the problem by removing the BES admin account from Exchange wide view only admin and readding it - bizarre but there we go.

All now "appears" to be working on that front.
