Minutes of Meeting - 7th December 2005

PCBM Meeting (Pre Christmas Beery Meet)

Venue: The Coal Hole, The Strand, London
Attendees: Rosie, Fi, Sharon, Mike S, Jeff, Dan, John, Nick
Apologies from: Mike L
Time: 18:00 to 23:30

Minutes
1. Update from last meeting. It was noted that this is about the 6th meeting at this venue which was seen to be good for all attendees. Previous events with food or located in Paddington were not seen to be useful. The Coal Hole, despite overcrowding for the first hour is seen as the regular meeting venue now.
2. Rosie pointed out that Mike L was not attending meeting with sufficient regularity and that his membership may have to be reviewed. Owning the forum is not a sufficiently good reason for being allowed to miss meetings.
3. Fi pointed out that Nick looks about 47. Nick commented that this means he can go to the pictures with Rosie. It was further suggested that this would mean Rosie could get in at half price as his "Mother".
4. Rosie commented that Nick was probably going to regret saying that. Nick agreed.
5. Mike S was casually attired and in future should bring his jacket or at least a packet of cards from said jacket for magic tricks that always go down well. The response of "making wife beater disappear" was accepted with disappointment by all.
6. Dan brought hats. This was seen as a good idea until everyone was made to wear the silly one with the reindeer antlers, the flashing lights and the Jingle Bells music and then the cameras came out.
7. Photos were taken by several attendees. The committee feel that it would not be in the interests of the attendees to show the photos beyond the attendees and that they should definitely not be hosted.
8. John announced details of his new position. It was announced rather quietly and therefore cannot be minuted.
9. The whip was squandered on alcohol. This was unanimously voted as good for the meeting.

The minutes of the meeting were stopped at 9pm for good but undocumented reasons.
The meeting was concluded at 11.30pm.
